AL SAYER GROUP SUPPORTS VOLUNTARY WORK CENTER BY DONATING TWO TOYOTA HILUX VEHICLES

The noble initiative reflects the corporate responsibility and commitment of the Group towards environmental care 

KUWAIT, Wednesday, 17 September 2014: Al Sayer Group donated two Toyota Hilux vehicles to Sabah Al-Ahmed Natural Reserve that functions under Voluntary Work Center, a Non-Profit Organization based in Kuwait. The vehicles will be utilized by Sabah Al-Ahmed Natural Reserve to facilitate fieldwork and transportation. Mr. Fouzi Burhama, Manager and Mr.Ahmed Al-Saqar, Supervisor from Sabah Al-Ahmed Natural Reserve received the vehicle keys and documents from Mr. Nehad Mohammad Al Haj Ali, Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility Manager, Al Sayer Group.
 
After the ceremony, the representatives discussed different ways of cooperation to develop environment protection initiatives. Both organizations aim to construct a manmade lake with the main purpose of supporting the ecosystem and protecting the migrating birds. A team from Al Sayer Group will be visiting the natural reserve, located in the north east of Kuwait, spreading over 320 sq m and considered home for over hundred varieties of unique plants. Representatives from Sabah Al-Ahmed Natural Reserve agreed to extend their support towards AL Sayer Green Camp through the supply of special plants, which has the capability to enrich the environments as well as make the soil more stable and fertile.  
 
Al Sayer Green Camp is a solar powered facility to host several environmental activities, organized in partnership with Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of Education and Society of Engineering. The Camp, which will be organized in 2014 - 2015 during the months of November, December, January, and February, will benefit employees and society through educational seminars and workshops to gain better understanding about saving energy and protecting environment. Students from different schools in Kuwait will invited to take part in “Dream Car” painting competition, in association with United Nations Environment Programme and Toyota.
