Group celebrates commitment to the planet – Commitment to creating change for the better
2015 Earth Hour has a global focus on climate change

Since starting as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007, the Earth Hour has grown to engage more than 7000 cities and towns worldwide. Today, Earth Hour engages a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues. The one-hour event continues to remain the key driver of the now larger movement. Earth hour is a global movement intended to make a powerful statement for climate action.
Al Sayer Group Holding participated in “Earth Hour” international, where employees participated through turning off the exterior lights as well as all non-essential electrical appliances across most of the Group’s business locations for one hour in the State of Kuwait on the night of Saturday 28 March 2015 from 8:30 pm till 9:30 pm.
Explaining the objectives behind this initiative Eng. Nehad Al Haj Ali, Manager - Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility said “This participation since 2008 comes as a root of Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility Policy toward the environment which its aimed to increase the environmental awareness for the employees, customers and public in a general and also to sensitize them the importance to protect the earth from carbon emissions emitted from electrical power generation that affect negatively on the safety of environment. Such initiatives also motivate them on the necessity to change their habit in terms of effectively using the resources to make it more sustainable”.
Al Sayer Group believes it is the right of the future generation to inherit healthy and clean environment through conservation of the environment and reduction of various types of pollution stay as a part and parcel of its policy in Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility.
