Two Yokohama tire types “BluEarth” and “GEOLANDER” will be original equipment for Lexus NX premium compact crossover SUV
Lexus has selected two Yokohama tire types “BluEarth” and “GEOLANDAR” as original equipment (OE) for NX, its first premium compact crossover SUV. The Lexus NX carries on the Lexus tradition of impressively refined and stylish designs while providing superior drivability and the environmental performance demanded of today’s urban crossovers. The Yokohama tires selected for the Lexus NX are the BluEarth E51 and the Geolandar G91. Exact fitments will vary according to region, however worldwide the tire maker is supplying two models of tire in three sizes.
Yokohama is aggressively developing tires employing its “BluEarth” technology, with these tires already adopted as original equipment on many new eco car and hybrid vehicle models. Yokohama introduced BluEarth as its global concept tire, designed to deliver environmental, human and socially friendly solutions for every car as well as car owner. The “GEOLANDAR G91” selected for Lexus NX, is based on YOKOHAMA’s “GEOLANDAR” series for SUVs, which employs YOKOHAMA’s most advanced tire technologies, including the “BluEarth” technology.
