Al Sayer Group Announces Shortlisted Entries For 10th Toyota Dream Car National Contest

 Recognition Beckons For Imaginative Children 

 
Completes Screening of 2500 entries of the Contest at Al Sayer Camp
 
Judging Committee will pick 9 winner drawings from
Shortlisted 200 Entries in the Final round of National Contest 
 
9 Winners  of the National Contest progress to compete in the Global contest in Japan
Al Sayer Group recently organized a screening event to shortlist entries of the 10th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. The event was attended by Eng. Nehad Haj Ali Group Manager Corporate Excellence in the presence of expert panel of external judges who chose potential finalist 200 entries to compete at the national contest. 
From this year’s contest 2500 impressive artworks were collected from 27 Arab, Asian and International schools in Kuwait. The artworks reflecting dreams and creative ideas of imaginative children across 3 contesting age group of Under 8 years old, 8 to 11 years old, 12 to 15 years old were in the spotlight. 
According to Mr. Mohammad Naser Al Sayer , Managing Director & Chairman Al Sayer Group CSR Committee “Toyota dream car art contest is one of the largest global art contest for children. This contest is an amazing experience for the kids as well as for us, there is no limitation to the imagination of young minds. Mobility is no more limited to the roads! They want to drive their cars to protect nature, reduce waste, promote renewable source of energy.”
Highlighting the creativity of the young artists one of the judges commented “Below 8 years category is high with imaginations. Majority of those tiny minds want a car to carry big family or friends along with them. They used vibrant colors, and drawings are very natural and detailed. It shows their minds for belonging, warm care. Attention towards nature and the colors inspiring them.”   
According to Mr. Nehad Mohammad AlHaj Ali, Group Manager Corporate Excellence Al Sayer Group “Toyota Dream Car Art contest is to motivate children’s to dream differently. To encourage them to look at each problem with a solution, which they did and it was a tough task for us to screen best of best. For Al Sayer Group it is always in our initiatives to promote such social and community development program to encourage our young minds to be responsive and responsible to understand current needs and look for the future.”
 “What if a car connects you to a place swiftly when your mind says to go! You are mobile in your immobile status. A universal peace car which protects refugees from war area, vehicle which helps people with drinking water and share basic knowledge.  So the children are updated with current affairs, and they always want to help with solutions” said one of the members from the judging committee.

MARYAM HOSSEINNIA: Department Chair, Associate Professor of Graphic Design in American university of Kuwait. M.F.A. from Minneapolis college of Art and Design, USA.
 
 
WILLIAM J ANDERSEN: Assistant Professor Studio Arts & Graphic designs in American university of Kuwait. M.F.A from School of the Arts Institute of Chicago, USA.
 
 
M.V JOHN : Bachelor of Applied arts from Raja Ravi Varma College of Fine Arts. Founder and creative Director of LAZY LEO Studio, Kuwait.

ABOUT TOYOTA DREAM CAR ART CONTEST
Since 2004, Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has been conducted as part of TMC’s social contribution initiatives. It gives children throughout the world the opportunity to develop an interest in cars and helps them feel the joy and importance of having a dream. Toyota Dream Car Art Contest invites children from all corners of the globe to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars. 
The National Contest winners enter into the World Contest. From which the jury panel in Japan gives Gold, Silver, Bronze and Best Finalist awards for each age category. The global contest winners are then invited to Japan to attend the Award Ceremony.
