As the world stands at a climate crossroads, it is powerful yet humbling to think that our actions today will decide what tomorrow will look like for generations to come. This Earth Hour, switch on your social power to shine a light on climate action. This is our time to #ChangeClimateChange...our future starts today.
1.When does Earth Hour take place?
Earth Hour 2016 will be held on Saturday 19 March between 8.30PM and 9.30PM in your local time zone. The event is held worldwide towards the end of March annually, encouraging individuals, communities
households and businesses to turn off their non- essential lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to the planet.
From Corporate Excellence department we request all from Al-Sayer Group Companies to encourage and participate in Earth Hour by switching off nonessential lights to contribute our small but humble representation to the mother planet – to join our hands to create sustainable world…
What you can do???
1.Turn off lights and share some time with your family, especially kids.
2.Switch off your lights at home, and go for an hour walk, or an outing with your parents, family, friends…
3.Have a dim light dinner or chat with loved ones…
4.Turn off TV, Smartphones and Tabs for an hour, to have an earth hour for the loved ones…
What is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour is a worldwide grassroots movement uniting people to protect the planet, and is organised by WWF. Engaging a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues, Earth Hour was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007.
