• Thousands Walk to Create Awareness About The Ill-Effect of Diabetes
KUWAIT: Bahrah Trading Company (BTC) one of the Al Sayer Group Holding Companies has participated as one of the sponsors for “Beat Diabetes” walkathon, a CSR initiative by Landmark Group in the controlling and prevention of diabetes in Kuwait. The sixth Beat Diabetes walk supported by Ministry of Health and Dasman Diabetes Institute marked a very successful completion with participation from more than 5000 residents.
The walk is aimed to raise awareness about diabetes and the importance of early detection. The walkathon was open to everyone and was a fun way to show support for the awareness, treatment and prevention of diabetes. In addition, there were testing centers at the walk where participants got a free blood glucose test.
According to Mr. Melakandy Hamza General Manager BTC “Being part of a pioneering Group Holding Company Al Sayer Group Holding, we are committed to support community initiatives. The objective of this initiative is to inform, involve, educate and suggest to the public at large about how to lead a pleasant lifetime without being effected by Diabetes, so it is vital that diabetes receives ongoing Diabetes education.”
